GARDEN STUDIO IN ASCOT WITH STUNNING LANDSCAPING
●WET, WET, WET. NO, THIS IS NOT A REFERENCE TO THE 1980’S ROCK BAND, BUT THE SURROUNDING GARDEN. WITH A WATERLOGGED LAWN, UNLESS THE IRRIGATION AND ACCESS COULD BE RESOLVED THE PROJECT WOULDN’T HAVE GONE AHEAD.
INSIDE, OUTSIDE.
The Surrounding garden treatment is usually the final piece of an exceptional project, however, we find this is often an afterthought, without a design or budget. Top garden room designers know this, and are blending their concepts with the immediate planting / outdoor vernacular. Whilst we are not landscape designers, our site teams have significant experience in delivering extensive ground and landscaping projects.

● HYBRID ROOM
This annexe is a hybrid garden room, with the main space to be used as an office, including sofa bed and ensuite shower room, with wc for guest accommodation.
●INSIDE, OUTSIDE
When the bifolds are opened the client wanted a seamless feel between the indoors and outdoors, making it a hybrid space in all ways.
●PERMITS
We organised permits and negotiated with the management company for the private estate, to ensure we met with the working hours, parking and noise rules.
●RAFT FOUNDATION
Designed by our engineer and with limited access the concrete had to be pumped from road. A concrete raft foundation was installed to enable a flush threshold between the outdoor and indoor.
●IRRIGATION
Tying in with the existing period property and garden room, the irrigation and landscaping work was complex. One meter deep trenches were dug at twelve hundred centres, back filled with pea shingle, perforated pipe, and membrane.
●LAWN
Levelled with top soil and finished with turf and a natural stone path supplied by London Stone.
●BUILD
ANX supplied all the trades and materials to complete all elements of the build.
